Organic Apoteke - Skincare that keeps its promise

The certified organic line, Organic Apoteke crossed the pond in 2008 to bring us a skin care line that is natural and effectively works. I can say this because I've used the product myself and a dear friend of mine that promises year-after-year to be brutally honest with me said, "I haven't seen you look this young in years". While I took my friend's comment as a backward compliment; I seriously look at the lines on my face and appreciate them for all they are worth and the character they have brought me over the years. However, I do like to look "younger" and rejuvenated, so I appreciate that the product line works and does what it claims...that is to rejuvenate the skin. This wonderful skincare line can be found in a travel size starter kit at Muito Fina for $36.95.

A little something I wrote for while I was in London

By: Anna Medeiros

Last month I took a trip to London. I was there for a few reasons; London Fashion Week, see what Londoners are wearing on the streets and to visit some friends. If you’re anything like me and fashion is your passion, it’s always a good idea to spend time in other cities. I find that I might get new ideas. While fashion is an expression of oneself, we are not all artists and for some, people express themselves in other ways . . . The beauty of London and the fashionistas that walk about town is their ability to express themselves through fashion. Some people may find the eccentricity of Londoners fashion a bit over the top; I on the other hand find it inspiring.

One look that I found to be a constant throughout my week-long stay in London is the ultra mini skirt, dress and even a shirt used as a dress. If the ultra mini hasn’t already made a comeback in the U.S., I imagine it will not be long before the fashions translate and cross the pond.

If you’re not sure about bringing back the ultra mini and showing a little extra thigh, here are some looks for you that I captured from London (and here in the states from our Wardrobe Stylist, Naomi Pita) that are edgy, classic and casual. You can do the mini for a fun evening cocktail party, a formal event and even to work.

10% of Sales at Muito Fina Benefit SF Affilliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure

10% of Sales at Muito Fina Benefit SF Affilliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure

I'm so glad that Muito Fina has the opportunity of working with such a fine organization as the Susan G. Komen for the Cure San Francisco.

As someone who has experienced what it is like for a family member to live with cancer and go through treatments, this is one of my ways of showing support. When my grandfather lost his battle with cancer, I made a promise to myself (for him) that I would support cancer research. I first ran the San Diego Rock n' Roll Marathon and raised money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Recently, Muito Fina participated in Sutter Health of Santa Rosa's Catwalk for the Cure where my group, the Nurses sported some great fashions from Muito Fina.

This month, Muito Fina will benefit San Francisco Bay Area Affiliateof Susan G. Kome for the Cure by donating 10% of all sales during the month of October 2009. Donations will benefit research and grants that will go toward women who are not able to pay for such care of their own.
